This program was created for the game Elite:Dangerous to calculate distances to systems with rare commodities from any inhabited system, and some uninhabited, as long as the system is known to EDSM.

Rare commodities are used for trading, they increase in value with the distance from the system where they are sold, reaching maximum value at around 160-170 light years. Please refer to this source for further info.

The data comes from Elite Wikipedia, Lave Wiki, Frontier Forums, Frontier Space, and Thrudds Trade Tool.
